Step back in time and experience the spirit of 1776 as Renfrew Museum and Park proudly celebrates our Nation’s 250th Anniversary on July 25, 2026!

Join us for a full day of hands-on, small-scale living history that brings the Revolutionary era to life! Speak with knowledgeable living historians will portray Continental Army soldiers and local militia, offering an authentic look at the courage, sacrifice, and daily realities of those who fought for American independence. Discover what life was truly like for the men who served during our nation’s founding. Watch marching and military drill demonstrations as soldiers maneuver just as they did over two centuries ago. Learn how they trained, how they camped, and how they prepared for battle. Experience cooking demonstrations that showcase the food, tools, and techniques used to sustain an army in the field.

This is not just a day to observe history — it’s a chance to engage with it. Visitors of all ages are invited to ask questions, handle reproduction equipment, explore camp life, and participate in interactive activities designed for the whole family. Touch the past, hear the stories, and gain a deeper appreciation for the determination and resilience that shaped our nation.
