Discover the timeless art of cross stitch in this hands-on beginner’s workshop! Cross stitch is one of the simplest styles of embroidery and the easiest to learn. It’s simple enough for children but can produce beautiful works of art! Whether you’re completely new to stitching or just looking to brush up on the basics, this welcoming session will guide you through the essential techniques of this relaxing and creative craft.
Led by an experienced instructor, you’ll learn how to:
🪡 Read and follow a simple cross stitch pattern… then design your own!
🧵 Choose the right materials (fabric, thread, needles)
📐 Master basic stitches and hoop setup
🎨 Stitch your own small sampler design and learn how to “frame” your finished piece to take home!
All supplies are provided, including a starter kit with fabric, embroidery floss/thread, hoop, needle, and printed pattern—perfect to keep practicing at home.
No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to try something new and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of stitching in a supportive setting. This is also a great opportunity to meet fellow creatives and take a break from screens with a traditional craft that has stood the test of time.
