Images of America “Around Waynesboro” Book

“David W. Thompson, a journalist and longtime Waynesboro resident, worked with the Waynesboro Historical Society, local photographers, and historians to create this illustrated look at more than one hundred years of Waynesboro’s past.”  It begins with a brief history of the town and how it got its name followed by information and photographs about the “big three” industries in town: Frick, Landis, and Geiser Manufacturing.  There are photographs of several of the architectural gems of the borough as well as important celebrations and areas of recreation.  Also contained are brief sections about the neighboring towns of Mont Alto, Quincy, Blue Ridge Summit and Pen Mar.
