Butter Mold Ornament/Plaque

The art of decorating butter came to America with early settlers who first used butter presses to pattern butter.  These decorative, sand cast ornament/wall plaques are made from molds of an antique butter press pattern.  The rooster was a symbol of alertness and liveliness.  Completely handcrafted they are 3 1/4″ D circles with a small hook at the top.  Available in brick red, yellow or delft blue.
