Emily Clayton Bishop
Born in Smithsburg, MD, Emily Clayton Bishop was a gifted artist who worked in many mediums. Renfrew Museum is pleased to present the first major retrospective of her work in an exhibit which will run through October 16. Even though Ms. Bishop died at age 28, her work gained national and international recognition. We are very proud to offer works from this collection to the area.

Spotlight on Permanent Bell Family Exhibit
On display in the Visitors Center is the largest national display of John Bell and family pottery. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, John Bell opened his shop in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania in 1833. Although the pottery burned down in 1899 the rooster weathervane that sat atop the Bell shop is proudly perched in front of the exhibit.
