         German Heritage Dinner

Friday, February 26- Save the date for this fourth annual  Fund raiser for Renfrew Museum and Park. From 6:30 p.m. (cocktail hour) and a buffet dinner at 7:00 p.m.  (at the Savoy Restaurant, 11655 Anthony Wayne Highway, Waynesboro, PA), enjoy the tastes of the old country, at this dinner which celebrates the German heritage of the first owner of the property which would become Renfrew Museum and Park.  Menu will include: Schinken in Mederia (ham in wine), Weisskruat mit speck (cabbage with bacon), pilzauflauf mit nudeln (mushrooms with noodles), kartoffelsalat (potato salad), reittschsalat (raddish salad), Frankfurter Bettlemann( Beggar's apple pudding), and your beverage of choice: wine, beer, coffee, tea or water. A live performance by classic guitarist Dan Mack, and a live auction with well-renowned auctioneer, Bob Benchoff, add to the evening festivities.  Price per person is $30. Easter Egg Hunt    

Saturday, April 3rd the annual Easter egg hunt at Renfrew Park sponsored by the Brothers of the Brush.  This very popular event begins at 1:00 p.m. to the delight of area children!

Navy Cruisers - in Concert         

Saturday, June 26th, 6:00 p.m. - Hear the ever-popular Navy Cruisers in a FREE concert at Renfrew Park-behind the Museum house.

 

Wayne Band in Concert    

Monday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. come join in the concert by the ever-popular Wayne Band behind the museum house.  This exceptional civic band brings a mix of familiar music, for all ages to enjoy! FREE!

 

Civil War Encampment   

Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 6, 7 and 8 this very popular encampment brings many re-enactors to Renfrew Park. This year the featured battle will be Battle of Wilson's Creek, also known as the Battle of Oak Hills, fought on August 10, 1861 near Springfield, Missouri.  More information as it becomes available for daily activities.  For registrations please call Mr. Don Biesecker at                   717-762-7920.

 

Pottery Fest           

Saturday, September 18 - from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. join the Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies, the Mont Alto Pottery Guild and Renfrew Museum and Park for the sixth annual Cumberland Valley Pottery Festival.  FREE admission. 

 

    Pumpkin Fest         

Saturday, October 16 from 11:00a.m. until 4:00 p.m. the Pumpkin Fest will bring together the Renfrew Museum and Park, and the Renfrew Institute for an annual joint fund-raiser.  More details as they become available!
